Born on July 9, 1922 in Järva-Jaani, Estonia. Studied with George Jensen in Copenhagen (1946-48) and later at l’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris, France. Studied modeling, ornamental art and ceramics at the atelier of AndréChicorp in Paris, France. Has worked as a modeler and mouldmaker. Later had his own atelier in Paris, France.
Arrived in Canada in 1952, continuing his studies in Montreal. Has exhibited in France, Canada and the United States since 1950. Recipient of many prizes and awards such as First Prize at Exposition Ceramique in 1950, the St. Lawrence Art Society First Prize and Honourary Mention three times, and Concours National d’Arts Quebec in Quebec City.
