Born in Tartu, Estonia. From Germany went to England and from there immigrated to Canada. Has painted over 30 years. Lood considers himself very fortunate for having two wonderful teachers: M. Dollack and G. Otto.
He likes to paint mostly landscapes and has exhibited many times at the Toronto Estonian House Gallery. Lood is a member of the Estonian Masters and has won medals at the federal and provincial levels. In 1975 Lood was a founding members of the prestigious Toronto Vintners Club. Other hobbies include writing poetry and evaluating handwritings. Works in many private and public collections in Canada, Australia, Estonia, England, Germany and the United States. Resides in Toronto, Ontario.
